Rituals permeate almost every known human society and their purposes are as variable as the forms they take. In "Anointed," three ceeramic artists present works that explore different types of symbolic action. Through the overtly ceremonial pots of Seth Gree, the clever, domestic creations of Andreww Gilliatt, and the highly decorated vessels of Julia Galloway, viewers not only get a glimpse of the artists' expressions of ritual, but are challenged to reflect on the ritual activity in their own lives.
