FIRST-TIME ARTIST
Not sure where to start? Let curiosity get the best of you with Lillstreet’s First-Time Artist program. These four or five-week introductory courses allow students with no previous experience to explore different media with other first-time artists and are a no-pressure introduction to new techniques. Please note that these classes are open to beginners only and there is a limit of 2 sessions per student.

CERAMICS
Lillstreet’s long established clay department offers classes for the total beginner, casual novice or advanced student. Start with the basics of hand building and wheel throwing while you work your way up to creating platters, bowls, teapots, sets on trays, and more. Take advantage of our 200 glaze combinations, firing, and state of the art equipment.

TEXTILES
Lillstreet’s Textile Arts is growing rapidly by demand. This department is for those students looking to take the art of cloth to a new level. From the basics to knitting, dying, printing and embellishment students are literally forming their own unique style. Through a combination of classes and workshops, students can complete original yardage, fashions, home accessories and even two and three-dimensional artwork.

   PRINTMAKING
The printmaking area offers a range of courses in a variety of traditional print media: relief, intaglio, monoprint, litho transfers and screenprinting (used in monotype and intaglio). We place particular emphasis on expanding the artist’s ideas and options with his/her work. Most courses cover and explore many non-traditional and mixed media approaches as well as in-depth teaching of traditional printmaking techniques.

PAINTING & DRAWING
Lillstreet offers courses in a broad spectrum of 2-dimensional media, from watercolor to printmaking. Beginning classes introduce students to the study of visual arts, and encourage the development of technical skill and personal creativity. Advanced students will refine their skill, enabling their own artistic vision while encouraging their dedication to studio practice.

METALSMITHING & JEWELRY
Welcome to Lillstreet’s esteemed Jewelry and Metalsmithing department. Here you will find courses that give you access to create original accessories like earrings, rings, necklaces, glass beads and more! The department boasts two large metal and one glass studio. Lillstreet offers an atmosphere appropriate for novice and expert alike. Students can join a class confident that they will learn the basic skills required to complete a few one of a kind pieces.

GLASS
Lillstreet’s Glass classes are a vital part of the Jewelry and Metalsmithing Department. Classes allow students to explore beadmaking and Glass Fusing at all levels in a relaxed and supportive setting. Join us to fire up a torch and create beautiful glass forms!
