REGISTRATION

We strongly encourage you to pre-register to ensure a space in class. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with a 50% deposit required. Workshops must be paid in full at time of registration. Balance is due on the first day of class. We reserve the right to make corrections to prices and discounts for registrations made through this website.

REDEEMING YOUR GROUPON

Thank you for purchasing a groupon! Your Groupon entitles you to one (1) Crash Course Workshop in the Digital Arts & Photography department. We are currently offering Crash Course workshops in Digital Photography, Lightroom, Digital Video, and Adobe Photoshop. Workshops are 4 hours in duration and have a value of $120. To see our current Crash Course offerings and schedules, follow the links here. Additional dates will be added for the fall and next year in the following weeks. Groupons can also be redeemed for a reduction in the class tuition of any Digital Arts & Photography Department class that meets for 5 or 10 weeks. To see our current offerings in the Digital Arts & Photography department, click here. Please call us at 773-769-4226 to register over the phone. Each code can only be redeemed once. Valid voucher codes will reduce your class cost by $120 (making the balance due for Crash Course workshops $0 and for other classes the total class tuition less $120). You must pay any balance due at the time of registration. Groupon vouchers cannot be redeemed with any other discounts (including but not limited to early registration and members discounts). Groupon vouchers cannot be combined. Groupon vouchers are valid for new course registrations only. Only one Groupon can be applied to a single class. Groupon vouchers can be redeemed on our website 24-hours after the close of the Groupon sale. Class cancellation: You may cancel your class or workshop based on the schedule detailed below. Tuition is not refundable. You will be issued studio credit for your workshop or class that can be redeemed for a Digital Arts & Photography class or workshop at a future date. Studio credits issued for Groupon redemptions expire on the expiration date of the Groupon (7/31/2012).

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Tuition is refundable for all classes and workshops, minus a processing fee of $40 for each class dropped, if the office is notified at least one week prior to the class start date (see chart below). Students may opt to receive a full studio credit in lieu of a refund. Students are responsible for notifying the Art Center office that they wish to drop a class or workshop; not attending class does not constitute an official withdrawal from courses or cancellation of tuition or fees. If you must drop a class or workshop after the deadline, no credit will be given, except for documented medical reasons with physicians note. There is a limit of two classes per student per year that may be dropped with a refund or credit due to non-medical reasons.

Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellation begins approximately one week before the scheduled first class. Workshops and special events not meeting enrollment minimums will be cancelled two to three days before the start date. Students will be notified if classes are cancelled and will be eligible for a full refund or class credit.

Custom class and workshop cancellation policies

Custom classes and workshops that are canceled after a deposit is made will result in the forfeiting of the deposit.  If you would like to reschedule, you deposit can be held and applied to a different date.  Custom classes are not refundable.

CREDITS

Most tuition credits are good indefinitely towards any classes, workshops or gallery items and are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances. Studio credits from groupon redemptions are valid only for classes in the Digital Arts & Photography department and expire on the expiration date of the Groupon. Studio credits from late drop-outs or cancellations can only be applied to tuition. If you have quesitons, please ask when the studio credit is issued. If Lillstreet Art Center cancels a class, students are eligible for a full refund. Class credits (not refunds) are issued for classes dropped due to documented medical reasons. Camp tuition credits are valid for summer camp only and cannot be transferred or used for gallery purchases.

LOW ENROLLMENT

Lillstreet Art Center does reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, students are eligible for a full refund. A minimum enrollment of 6 students is usually required for a class to run. Please register early to ensure your preferred class will run.

HOLIDAYS

For classes that fall on holidays, it is up to the individual teachers and students to decide whether to hold the class or to schedule a make up class later in the session.

MISSED CLASSES

Missed classes may only be made up within the same class session. Missed camp days are not eligible for refunds or credits and can not be made up.

SKILL LEVELS

Programs are divided into skill levels:

Beginners/Advanced Beginners: Introduction to basic techniques. Classes are designed for the true novice and returning students in need of a refresher or further instruction.

Multilevel: Open to both beginners and experienced students. Classes are designed for students of all skill levels with projects appropriate for each.

Intermediate/Advanced: Development of skill and exploration of theme and content. Classes are designed for students who have completed beginner courses at Lillstreet or have a professional background and are looking for refresher courses, advanced skills and studio time. Students not previously enrolled at Lillstreet should seek the approval of the instructor before enrollment.
